Sylvia Appiah

Sylvia AppiahSylvia Appiah is from Ghana and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Her undergraduate thesis, “Widowhood Rites Among the Akans and Their Human Rights Implications,” reflects her strong interest in social justice, gender equality, and cultural development.

Sylvia has served as an Assistant Social Development Officer at the Ejisu Municipality, where she supported community led projects to improve access to clean water and sanitation. She has also held leadership roles as Secretary of the National Service Association and Coordinator of the Future Generation Club.

Currently residing in Sweden, Sylvia volunteers with Attendo Omsorg, providing social and emotional support to patients and families. Through the MDP program, she aims to advance sustainable development and social equity for marginalized and Indigenous communities.
