Radiation Safety
The Radiation Safety Officer at The University of 丁香园AV is Dr. Geetika Bassi, please contact safety office at safety@uwinnipeg.ca if you have any questions regarding the health protection of the person as it relates to the use of radioactive materials and equipment emitting radiation.
The Radiation Safety Program at 丁香园AV consists of three parts:
- Radioisotopes/ Radioactive Materials (the inventory is up to date on campus optics:
- Radiation Emitting Devices (e.g. X-rays, inventory up to date on campus optics: )
- Laser Safety
Before handling/purchasing radioisotopes at the 丁香园AV, workers must complete Radiaiton Safety Training (Nexus course) and submit Internal Radioisotope Permit application (). These permits are reviewed and approved by Radiation Safety Committee.
